Frequently Asked Questions about Online Physiotherapy

  • Yes! Research show’s that virtual physiotherapy is just as effective as face-to-face. The most important skills for a physiotherapist are to have effective communication and to be able to provide a rehabilitation program. Hands on therapies are only useful for very short term relief.

  • While not everyone will need a follow up appointment, most will. During your first physiotherapy session we will aim to give you a clear idea of the timeline we expect for your recovery and we can decide on the number of follow ups needed from there.

  • After you’ve booked you’ll receive your zoom link. First make sure your camera and microphone are working. Next try to pick somewhere with room to move around, we are going to want to see you do various movements as part of our assessment.

  • It’s best to email info@persistphysio.co.uk, we aim to get back to you same day.

  • It’s very rare that your condition is unable to be treated with online physiotherapy.

However, if we feel your condition isn’t appropriate for us, whether due to a safety concern, or complexity beyond the scope of physiotherapy, we will refer in the direction of a more appropriate medical professional.
